So tired
Well, I'm eating carbs again. And my energy has improved somewhat. But I'm still bloody tired. Keep falling asleep after a couple of hours of activity - not even that much activity, mind. Today I went to the shopping centre and got my nails done, and then came home and had a nap. I have a very full week ahead, with work and then going to Canberra so I'm still quite concerned. I don't know what to do.
give yourself some time... it will probably take you as long to get out of the rut as it did to get in - maybe longer.
ReplyDeletein the meantime, it small, frequent meals, make sure you're getting protein with your carbs, and maybe try and do some exercise. loathe as i am to admit it, i usually have more energy when i'm doing some.
It might be that your iron levels are low: this can make you very tired and puffed. A quick but unscientific test is to look at the inside of your lower eyelid. If it is very pale you need iron.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be a very good idea to go to your GP and ask for a full set of bloodtests to be done. Lots of things can caused tiredness: low iron, under functioning thyroid, glandular fever etc All of these can be dealt with.
^^^ wot polyxena said. And I agree with the exercise thing. Try a walk around the block in the fresh air.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, agreed - all I would add is to make sure you are getting really good quality, low GI carbs to sustain you longer. And be kind to yourself :-)
ReplyDeleteAll of the above! Exercise perks me up as does porridge in the morning. Water is also good too :)
ReplyDeleteNothing left for me to say but hope you feel better soon :)
ReplyDeleteThanks all. I hope to one day have the energy to exercise...
